Altum is pleased to announce a new Director of Engineering: Jim D. Faul, PE, QSD. A licensed Professional Engineer, Mr. Faul brings more than 35 years of experience in Southern California to this important leadership position. He will be responsible for overseeing staff throughout the Altum offices and providing strong technical oversight and management to existing and future projects.
Mr. Faul is an experienced leader with a strong background in business management, project management, civil design and quality control covering all aspects of civil engineering. His project experience includes high profile and political projects with expedited schedules and the need for creative problem solving. His project portfolio includes a large variety of work on large scale transportation upgrades, recreational facilities, residential developments, marine facilities, commercial centers, and institutional campuses. Mr. Faul brings a wealth of knowledge of the urban development, public works, and transportation markets that Altum already services. Currently focusing on the Inland Empire and San Diego Markets, Mr. Faul will be establishing the firm in the greater Southern California area by expanding the reach of services into Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. He has an established presence in those areas and will work with key staff to position the firm to compete in that highly competitive market. “I am excited to be at The Altum Group and work with leaders to advance the firm both in service areas and geographic markets. A veteran public outreach specialist, Mr. Faul has worked with boards, councils, commissions, staff and residents throughout his career. In recent years, Mr. Faul served as Chair of the Workforce Development Board of Ventura County and served as President of the Citizen’s Advisory Committee on Bond Measures for the Oak Park Unified School District.
